In Chapter 1, James describes how people should respond to the Word of God: Read James 1:22 - 25 (vs. 22-25). Consider these verses carefully. Then, write 300-500 words, following the guidelines below. Summarize the main idea of this passage in one sentence. Think of one example in your life that you can share with your teacher in which the Word of God, like a mirror, showed you something about yourself. Did you forget later? Did you act on what you learned?

Answer:
After reading James 1 : 22 - 25 ( KJV ), I've concluded that the majority of what is trying to be said here is this. Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is inherently authentic, meaning it will produce works. As we know, Scripture tells us faith without works is dead so proclaiming the good news of God that many of us believe we have accepted will be shown through our works and kindness towards others. James gives an example of visiting the widows and the fatherless in their affliction in vs. 27. If we are not "doers" of the Word then we decieve ourselves.
