In chapter 7 of the text, there are several forces for the organizational change: workplace demographics, technology, globalization, market conditions, growth, and poor performance. Based on your personal or professional experience, provide an example of when one of these forces caused an organization to change. Why did it cause this change? What was the result? What resistance to the change occurred, if any? How was the resistance (if any) overcome?

  • While working as an intern at Tech Mahindra there was change in the methods and the software with which the employees used to work and operate in a particular manner according to the initially set pattern and procedures.
  • With the advancement of Technology  a new software was introduced to provide better features and assistance to the employees as well as to keep  a good check  of their working by the managers.
  • It was really necessary because the previous software was creating a lot of hindrance in the daily activities of the organisation.
  • It was opposed by various employees because it was new and more difficult than the previous software.
  • Proper training was given to them and real time assistance was provided by the IT team to to solve and help the people to cope up with the new system.
