LET AUDIENCE BE X ,AND CHILDREN BE Y

X = Y + 3×X /8

Y = X_ 3X/8

Y = 5X/8

therefore ,5/8 0f audience were children .

girls = 2/8 of y

= 2/8 × 5X/8

= 10X/64

= 5X/32

therefore , 5/32 of audience were girls .

y = no. of children .

let z be no. of boys .

Therefore ,

Y = girls + boys

Y = 5X/32 + Z

5X/8 _5X/32 = Z

Z = 160X _ 40X /256

Z = 120X/256

Z = 15X/32 .

THEREFORE , 15/32 of audience were boys .
