Here , BD and AC are diameters of circle of centre E .
BE = CE = radius
so, ∠BCE = ∠CBE = 53° [ as shown in figure ]
So, ∠BED = 180° - (∠BCE + ∠CBE) = 180° - (53° + 53°)
= 180° - 106° = 74°
Now, angle subtended by arc AD = ∠AED = ∠BED = 74°
Hence, angle subtended by arc AD = 74°
