in cities,th bore wells have to be dug very deep to get water whereas in villages it is not so.why?give reasons

Moreover, any other water body is hardly available for daily use of the huge urban population, leading to the exhaustion of the groundwater.
On the contrary, the underground water level in the villages is much higher due to the lesser population density there.
So the bore wells need to be dug deeper in the cities than in the villages.
