In class 10 cbse board, will the marks of every subject be particularly shown in websites and result card?
Answers
If 6 subjects have been taken by a student, marks of the best 5 subjects are to be added for percentage calculation.
Case I
Let’s say that student A obtains the following scores in the AISSE:
Language I- 95/100
Language II- 93/100
Mathematics- 100/100
Science- 97/100
Social Science- 98/100
In this case, the student has only 5 subjects, so his/her %age will be calculated normally
Total Score = 95+93+100+97+98 = 483
Percentage = (483/500)*100 = 96.6%
Case II
Another student B obtains the following scores in the AISSE:
Language I- 92/100
Language II-85/100
Mathematics- 73/100
Science- 88/100
Social Science- 91/100
Additional Subject- 95/100
In this case, as the student has 6 subjects, “Best Of 5” rule will be applied. The marks obtained in Mathematics will be replaced by those of the Additional Subject.
Total Score = 92+85+95+88+91 = 451
Percentage = (451/500)*100 = 90.2%
Case III
A friend of A and B, i.e., C (the topper :)) obtains the following scores in the AISSE:
Language I- 99/100
Language II- 100/100
Mathematics- 99/100
Science- 98/100
Social Science- 99/100
Additional Subject- 98/100
Again, in this case, C has 6 subjects. So, the “Best Of 5” rule will apply. However, in this case, the score in the 5 Main Subjects is equal to the score in the best 5 subjects. So, the total score will remain equal to the sum of the scores obtained in the 5 Main Subjects.
Total Score = 99+100+99+98+99 = 495
Percentage = (495/500)*100 = 99%
Hope it helps!
