Answer:

Marks obtained by Sam = 30

answers he had attempted incorrectly = 10

Marks obtained for incorrect answers = 10 x (-2)

= -20

Let the marks obtained by Sam for correct answers be x

so, x +(-20) = 30

x - 20 = 30

x = 30 + 20

x = 50

Marks given for each correct answers = 5

No of correct answers he had attempted = 50/5

= 10

hope it helps

Answer:

Sam gets 30 correct of 5 marks and gets = 30×5=150 marks.

Sam gets 10 incorrect of -2 marks and gets= 10×(-2)=-20.

Som Sam gets total = 150+(-20)= 150-20=130 marks.(ans)
