Step-by-step explanation:

Let the marks in maths be x

And marks in eng be x - 30

In the second situation

Maths marks = x+2

Eng marks = 30 - x- 3 = 27 - x

(x+2) (27-x) = 210

-x^2 + 27x - 2x +54 =210

x^2 - 25x +156=0

x^2 - 13x - 12x + 156

x(x - 13) - 12(x - 13) =0

(x-13) (x-12) =0

x=13 x= 12

So marks in mathematics be 13 and english 30-x

30 - 13

=17

OR

Maths = 12

Eng = 18
