In CO2 molecule oxygen is sp2 hybridized, so it should make 3 sigma bonds but it make only one sigma bond in CO2.

Why?
Explain please

oxygen k pass 6 valance e- hote h

ek pi bond bnata h

ek sigma bond bnata h

baki bache 2 lone pair

or hybridization = lone pair + sigma bond hota h

toh 2 +2=3 = sp2

Tulsirani100: Is it @necessary that number of sigma bonds is equal to number of @hybridized @orbitals?
Tulsirani100: 2+2=4...XD
Tulsirani100: but i got it 2+1=3
AleXXa: ohh xD
AleXXa: it 2 lp + 1 sigma bond = sp3
AleXXa: sorry for that ;(
Tulsirani100: No problem
