During the day, the land gets more heated up than the sea. ... Since the winds move from the high pressure to the low pressure areas, wind currents moves from sea to the land. During day the sand becomes hot quickly in exposure of sun and the air above it heats up and rises up thus there is a pressure imbalance and sea breeze starts.
During night the land cools fast and the air above it cools down and gets downwards thus due to pressure imbalance the land breeze starts at night.
