d0 = √ (2 x h x Re) --- (1)
where d0 = old range, h = height of antenna, Re = Radius of earth
Now, height is doubled,
d1 = √ (2 x 2 h x Re) --- (2)
where d1 = old range, h = height of antenna, Re = Radius of earth
d1 = √2 x √(2 x h x Re) = √2 x d0
d1 = √2 x d0
New range is √2 times old range.
