Debentures are shown in the balance sheet of the company under the item Secured loans. Debentures are usually secured against the assets of the company.

In company final account debentures issued are shown under secured loans.

Companies final account is like the balance sheet of the firm, as balance sheet shows profit and loss in the same way final account of the companies show asset and liabilities of the company.

Debentures are  liability to whom dividend is paid.

Dividend is of fixed nature and is paid to them annually, or according to the agreement done  between the company and debenture holder.

Dividend is a expense as if the company incurs loss  then also it has to pay dividend.

Debentures are secured loan because they get dividend and can be redeemed as well.
