SIGN COVENTION FOR A CONCAVE MIRROR-
The y axis (straigth vertical line) is taken as the lens
✔ Conventionally the object is taken to be in the left side of the lens. So the object distance (u) is always negative.
✔ In a concave mirror image is always formed in the side of the object (virtual image), except for one case (when object is kept between F and P). So, image distance (v) is negative except for one case
✔ The focal length is also negative (except for one case). This is because the image distance is negative
✔ Height is also negative (except for one case). This is because the image is virtual
