when iron nail is kept immersed in a copper sulphate soultion (which is blue) its colour disappears. This is due to the formation of iron sulphate by displacement reaction.

highly reactive iron displaced less reactive copper from its salt solution which results in the formation of iron sulphate. Hence, it's blue colour disappears.

Hope it helps !
