In covering a distance of 30 km Ali takes two hours more than Shan. If Ali
doubles his speed he would take 1 hour less than Shan. Ali's speed is​

Answer:

let x be the speed of ali

time taken = 30/x

speed of ali if double = 2x

time taken = 30/2x

then from question,

30/x -30/2x= 3 (speed = distance/time how I get 3 here- first ali was late by 2 hours and with the change in speed he is ahead by one hour that mean the change in speed makes a difference of 3 hours, hope you understand this part coz this is the main part of solution.)

=60-30/2x=3

=30/6=x

=5km/h is the speed of ali.
