Leg bye
If the ball pops the batsman's body, then rendered that player is not out of leg before wicket (lbw) and the player attempted to evade being caught or sought to hit the ball with the bat, the batsmen can run. In this case, despite the part of anatomy affected by the ball, the runs obtained are identified as leg-byes.
A leg bye is a score added by the batting organization if the batsman has not kicked the ball with his or her bat, but the ball has caught the batsman's body or protecting gear. It is incorporated by Law 23 of the Laws of Cricket.
