Step-by-step explanation:

(a) 3 : 4 In ∆ ABD and ∆ACD, we have angle BAD=angle CAD

now BC/DC=AB/AC

=6/8=3/4

BD:DC=3:4

hope it helps you

Given :- In ∆ABC, AB = 6cm, BC = 10cm, AC = 8cm and AD is angle bisector of angle BAC. Find the value of BD:DC

16:25

9:16

3:4

4:5

Answer :-

As we can see that,

→ 6² + 8² = 10²

→ 36 + 64 = 100

→ 100 = 100

so,

→ AB² + AC² = BC²

also, AD is angle bisector of angle BAC,

then,

→ BA / AC = BD / DC { By angle bisector theorem. }

→ 6/8 = BD/DC

→ 3/4 = BD/DC

→ BD : DC = 3 : 4 (Ans.)
