Q. In decreasing price of a motorcycle by 10 % number of bike sold is increased by 10% .what is the change in overall sale?

\huge\purple\star\underline\mathfrak\green{ANSWER :-}\purple\star

= It will decrease

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the price of a motorcycle = ₹100 .

and, the amount of sale of motorbike is = 100.

Therefore, total revenue = ₹(100 × 100)

i.e, ₹10000.

Now, with the decreasing of price

i.e, ₹100 - ₹10 :- ₹90

and, sale increased by 10%

i.e, 100 + 10 = 110

Therefore, revenue will be collected after bargain is = ₹( 90 × 110 ) = ₹9900

Hence, the amount after bargain is decreased by :- ₹(10000 - 9900) = ₹100

therefore, decrease % :-

 = \frac{100 \times 100}{10000} = 1\%

1% decreases.
