Before, finding the answer. Let's find out on how we can find the answer.

  • To find the number of students who like Biology and Physics, we have to use the formula of :

\sf Biology = \dfrac{Total \: students}{100} \times Percentage

\sf Physics = \dfrac{Total \: students}{100} \times Percentage

  • Where, we have to multiply the Total Student and percent. Then divide it by 100.

Given :

  • Total Students = 250
  • Physics = 40%

To find :

  • number of students who like biology and Physics.

Solution :

\sf Physics = \dfrac{Total \: students}{100} \times Percentage

           \sf = \dfrac{250}{100} \times 40

           \sf = \dfrac{10000}{100}

           \sf = 100

100 of them like Physics.

\sf Biology = \dfrac{Total \: students}{100} \times Percentage

           \sf = \dfrac{250}{100} \times 20

           \sf = \dfrac{5000}{100}

           \sf = 50

50 of them like Biology.
