In the above example,

Dividend = 22.5        Divisor = 3

Now

 $\frac{22.5}{3}$  =  $\frac{\frac{225}{10} }{3}$   =  $\frac{225}{30}$

So here in dividing decimals we have to add as many zeroes as the number of digits after decimal point in dividend
