in division 56x divided by 10 leaves remainder 6, what might be the value of x ?

Hey there!

Note : 56x represents five hundreds, six tens and x ones. Not to be confused with fifty six multiplied by x.

56x = 5 * 100 + 6 * 10 + x = 10 ( 50 + 6 ) + x.

Given that , 56x is divided by 10 .

56 * 10 + x / 10 = 56 + x/10

Therefore, When 56x is divided by 10 , it leaves a remainder " x " .

From the problem, Remainder = 6 .

So, We can conclude that remainder is x = 6 .

 \therefore The probable value of x is " 6 " .
