Useing the formula
Dividend = (divisor*quotient) + reminder
We can calculate the dividend
Substitute the values given, so that the answer can be attained

The solution will go as follows

Dividend= (100*35) + 35
=3500+35
= 3535

To find : dividend

Given :  divisor = 100 , quotient = 35  , remainder = 35 .

Solution :

  • Division is arithmetic operation in which process of repetitive subtraction takes place.
  • In other words division is splitting of large group into equal smaller groups .
  • Formula for division:

      Dividend =( Divisor \times  Quotient )+  Remainder

  • On substituting the given values in above formula ,
  • Dividend = (100 \times 35 ) + 35

                        = (3500 )+ 35 \\= 3535

Hence, dividend is 3535 .
