In each exam each candidate chose either physics or mathematics.84 percent of students took physics. while the number of students taking maths was half the number of students taking physics.If the total number of students is 1000 how many students take both physics and maths.​

n(P∩M)=n(M)+n(P)−n(P∪M)

= 42+84−100=26%

Number of Candidates who have taken both

= 10026×1000=260
