x-y=14------------(equation 1)

CD=AD{Opposite side of a rectangle}

x+y=30-----------(equation 2)

Now adding both the equation positive and negative y will be cancelled and we will get

2x=44

x=44/2=>22

Putting x in equation 1

x-y=14

22-y=14

-y=14-22

-y=-8

y=8
