in each of the figure given below, transversal intersects a pair of parallel lines. find the values of X and Y in the following fig .​

Given:-

  • AB || CD,
  • QP = Transversal,
  • ∠RSD = 65°.

To Find: Value of x° and y°.

Here,

x° = y° (Vertically opposite angles)

We know,

Sum of interior angles of a side = 180° (If such condition matches)

∴ y° + ∠RSD = 180°

→ y° = 180° - ∠RSD

→ y° = 180° - 65°

y° = 115°

y° = x° = 115°.
