 Given \: rational \: number \: whose

 numerator \:and \: denominator \: are

 respectively \: 5 - 39 \:and \: 54 - 6

 \red{ Required \: rational \: number }

 = \frac{5-39}{54-6}

 = \frac{ -34}{48}

 = \frac{\cancel {2} \times (-17)}{\cancel {2}\times 24}

 = \frac{-17}{24}

Therefore.,

 \red{ Required \: rational \: number }

 \green{ = \frac{-17}{24}}
