Hii.......friend

The answer is here,

Let the * be x.

9)

a) 148*87

If a number is divisible by 9.Then the sum of the digits also be divisible by 9.

=> 1+4+8+x+8+7.

=> 28+ x .

The nearest and greatest multiple of 9 near 28 => 36.

=> 28+ x=36.

x= 36-28 => 8.

So, The * is replaced by 8 to make it divisible by 9.

b) 54*5320.

=> 5+4+x +5+3+2+0.

=> 19+ x
The nearest and greatest multiple of 9 near 19 => 27.

=> 19+ x = 27.

=> x=> 8.

So, The * is replaced by 8 to make it divisible by 9.

:-)Hope it helps u.
