winner got 53percent so losing candidate got
100 - 53 = 47
47 per cent. Then winner got
53 - 47 = 6
6 percent more so that means
let total vote be x so
6percent of x equal to 9600
 \frac{6}{100}  \times x = 9600
x =  \frac{9600 \times 100}{6}
x = 1600 \times 100
