The representation of people act in 6th February 1918 was an important law because it allowed women to vote for the very first time and also allowed all men above 21 years to vote too.
Before this law women were not allowed to vote in general election at all, some men could vote but not all of them. The contribution during the world war one by men and woman who had no right to vote made the law changed.
