In English we use :

Past perfect tense when the action is done before another action of past .

Like : We came here after he had gone.

Present perfect is used for such actions which has recently done . The actions done before few seconds or few mins or hours etc.

Like : I have finished my homework just now .

Answer:

Explanation:

When an action happened more than one time in the past, use the present perfect. For example, “I have seen the movie three times”. Second, it is common to use the present perfect with the words “for” and “since.”

These two tenses are both used to talk about things that happened in the past. However we use past perfect to talk about something that happened before another action in the past, which is usually expressed by the past simple. For example: "I had already eaten my dinner when he called."
