In the experiment, we destarch the plant inorder to remove accumulated starch from it by keeping in the dark for 2-3 days.

Later we put in sunlight to check whether sunlight is necessary for photosynthesis or not.

aarav38: then what about again keeping it in sunlight

photosynthesis process

photosynthesis process is occur due to present of chloplatid and chlorophyll which is presence in leaves. because of chlorophyll the leaves get green colour.
when we take the plant in dark due to absence of sunlight they cannot prepare their own food. in dark stopped the formation of starch and chlorophyll. therefore ,the colour of plant not remain green.
when we take plant in sunlight the process of photosynthesis is occur due to sunlight and start formation of starch and chlorophyll. the plant will be green .

therefore , chlorophyll is very important in process photosynthesis.

Hope lt will be helpful to you.
