  • Faraday's experiment was based on relative motion between a conducting coil and a magnet.
  • A changing magnetic flux wrt time around the coil develops an induced emf which in turn develops an induced current in the coil.
  • The faster the rate of change of magnetic flux linked with the coil, the more the emf is induced and thus more deflection is shown by the galvanometer.
