Diameter = 6c

Radius = 3cm

Area of semicircle = pi / 2

= pi × 3 × 3 / 2

= 22 × 9 / 7 × 2

= 14.14 cm²

Therefore area of shaded region

= 2 × (area of one semicircle)

= 2 × 14.14

= 28.28 cm²

Therefore area of shaded region is 28.28 cm²
