Hi \: \: There \\ \\

In \: \: ABC , DE \: || \: BC \\ \\

By \: Thales \: \: Theorem \: \\ \\

we \: \: obtain , \\ \\ \frac{AE \: }{AC \: }
=
\frac{DE \: }{BC \: } \\ \\ = \frac{3}{3 + x} = \frac{4.5}{6} \\ \\ = 18 = (3+ x)4.5 \\ \\ = > 13.5 + 4.5 x= 18 \\ \\ = > 4.5x = 4.5 \\ \\ = > x \: \: = \frac{4.5}{4.5 } \\ \\ = > x = 1 \\ \\ \\ Hence \: \: AC = 3 + x \: \: \\ \\ \: = 3 + 1 \\ \\ = 4 \: cm \:

Note :- Your Question was not Defined therefore I solved it logically , and gave new dimensions
