Linear pair of angles:

If Non common arms of two adjacent angles form a line, then these angles are called linear pair of angles.

 

Given : x/y = 5 and z/x = 4

y = 5x

And,

z/x = 4

z = 4x

From the given figure :  

x + y + z = 180°  (Linear pair)

x + 5x + 4x = 180°

10x = 180°

x = 180°/10

x = 18°

Hence the value of x is 18° .

Option (B) 18° is correct.
