so, both triangles are similar

By AAA rule,

DE/BE=CE/AE

4/(4x-2)=(x+1)/(2x+4)

by cross multiplication, lastly get a quadratic equation,

2xsquare-3x-9=0

solving we get, x=3 , -3/2

taking x=3
