Answer:

Given that a+b =180 degrees and a - b = 1/3 * 90 = 30 degrees

On solving both we get

a  + b = 180

a  -  b =  30

----------------

2a = 210

a = 105

Substitute value of a in a + b = 180 we get

                          b = 180-105 = 75

So a and b values are 105 and 75.

The value of a and b are 105° and 75°.

Given:

b is more than one-third of a right angle than a.

To Find:

The values of a and b

Solution:

From the figure

a + b = 180°--------(1)       ( Angle made by a straight line is 180°)

Given that b is more than one-third of a right angle than a.

b + 1/3  (90°) = a

b+ 30° = a

a - b = 30° 0--------(2)

Adding Equation (1) and Equation (2)

a+ b +a-b = 180° + 30°

⇒ 2a = 210°

⇒ a = 210/2

⇒ a = 105°

Substituting a=  105° in Equation (1)

105° + b = 180°

⇒ b = 180° - 105°

⇒ b = 75°

Therefore , The value of a and b are 105° and 75°.
