∠EPA = ∠PQC                        (Corresponding angles)

∠PQC = x

∠PQC and ∠PQD are a linear pair. So,

∠PQC + ∠PQD = 180°

x + y = 180°

3p + 20° + 2p + 10° = 180°

5p + 30° = 180°

5p = 150°

p = 30°

using this we can say that

x = 3(30°) + 20° = 110°

y = 2(30°) + 10° = 70°
