In fig if ac=bd show that ab=cd state the Euclid's postulate or axiom used for the same

how can we understand that what type of euclid's axiom should be used in different question

for eg:in a line segment AD , AC = BD prove that AB = CD

here we used the axiom no.3 to prove

how did you get that (in the question given above) we are suppose to use the euclids axiom no:3 to verify or prove it???

pls explain....... troubling my head for FA2
