Given :

angle PQR = angle PRQ

To prove :

angle PQS = angle PRT

Proof :

Let the measure of angle PQR = angle PRQ be x° .

Now ,

• angle PQR + angle PQS = 180° (linear pair) _____(1)

Also ,

• angle PRQ + angle PRT = 180° (linear pair) _____(2)

Since , the RHS of both equation 1 and 2 are equal , their LHS must also be equal .

Equalising equation 1 and 2 ,

angle PQR + angle PQS = angle PRQ + angle PRT

x° + angle PQS = x° + angle PRT
