In Fig., sides XY and ZX are produced to P and Q

respectively. If YXQ = 95º and PYZ = 95º

Find YZX and XYZ.​

Given :-

Angle YXQ = 95° , Angle PYZ= 95°

To Find :-

i) YZX

ii) XYZ

Solution:-

i) As line PX is a Straight line

Angle PYZ +Angle XYZ = 180° (Straight line)

95° + Angle XYZ = 180°

Angle XYZ =180° – 95°

Angle XYZ = 85°

ii) Angle YZX +Angle XYZ = Angle YXQ ( Sum of 2 interior angles of a triangle is equal to opposite exterior angle)

Angle YZX +Angle XYZ = Angle YXQ

Angle YZX + 85° = 95°

Angle YZX = 95°– 85°

Angle YZX = 10°
