Exterior angle is equal to sum of opposite interior angles. i.e

x + 3y = 7y

x = 7y – 3y = 4y........(i)

now,

sum of all interior angles = 180°

5y + 3y + 4y = 180

12y = 180

y = 180/12 = 15

from (i)..,

x = 4y = 4×15 = 60° Ans.
