i. A number greater than 4

ii. A composite number

iii. A number not less than 3

WE KNOW THAT THE FORMULA OF PROBABILITY IS P(E) :-

\huge\frac{no \:of\: favourable\: outcomes}{total\: no\: of \:possible\: outcomes}

So the possible outcomes are 1,2,3,4,5,6

Total no of possible outcomes = 6

\huge\bold\red{\underline{\underline{ATQ,}}}

i)) A number greater than 4

Among 1,2,3,4,5,6 we can see that 5,6 are greater than four.

So the favourable outcomes are 2.

So by putting the formula,

\large{P(E) =}\huge\frac{2}{6}

\Longrightarrow\large{P(E) =}\huge\frac{1}{3}

ii)) A composite number

Among 1,2,3,4,5,6 we can see that 4,6 are composite number.

So the favourable outcomes are 2.

So by putting the formula,

\large{P(E) =}\huge\frac{2}{6}

\Longrightarrow\large{P(E) =}\huge\frac{1}{3}

iii)) A number not less than 3

Among 1,2,3,4,5,6 we can see that 4,5,6 are not less than 3.

So the favourable outcomes are 3.

So by putting the formula,

\large{P(E)= }\huge\frac{3}{6}

\Longrightarrow\large{P(E)= }\huge\frac{1}{2}
