Answer:

in triangle cde and traingle bae

ce=be

ang e = ang e (vertically opposite angles)

ang c = ang b = 90°

therefore triangle cde is congruent to triangle bae

therefore cd=ba

so, 3x+2=x+6

x=2

so, ba=cd= 8 cm
