As we know that inside the figure there are 4 right angled triangle each of hight and base is 5.2 and 1.5 respectively

i.e. by using area of 1 right angled triangle

1/2×base×height =3.9

area of 4 right angled triangle is 3.9×4=15.6

area of polygon is area of 4 right angled triangle+area of rectangle (let statment 1)

area of rectangle is l×b

l=5.2×2

i.e.10.4

and b=3

by statment 1

area of polygon=10.4×3+15.6

=31.2+15 6=46.2
