AOB is a straight line

(given)

therefore angle AOC + angle BOC =180 degree

(linear pair)

therefore (x - 9) + (5x + 3) = 180

therefore x - 9 + 5x + 3 = 180

therefore 6x - 6 = 180

therefore 6 (x - 1 ) =180

therefore x - 1 = 180÷6 = 30

therefore x is equal to 31 degree

angle AOC = x - 9

therefore angle AOC = 31 - 9

therefore angle AOC = 22°

angle BOC = 5x + 3

therefore angle BOC = 5( 31 ) +3

therefore angle BOC is equal to 155 plus 3 is equal to 158 degree
