and,
AE = AD
or,
AD = AE .............(2)
Therefore, on dividing the eqn. (1) by eqn. (2), we get,
Now, in the triangle ADE and triangle ABC, we can consider that,

∠A = ∠A (Common to both the triangles)
Therefore,
Δ ADE ~ ΔABC
By SAS similarity.
