Draw a line EF which is parallel to AB and CD .

So, AB || EF

→ Angle at EF = 180° - 140° = 40° { Angle between parallel lines on same sides are supplementry. }

now, EF || CB .

then,

→ Angle at EF = 35° { Alternate angles .}

therefore,

→ x = 40° + 35° = 75° (Ans.) (d)
