∠EFG = ∠GCD (Alternative angle)

∠EFG = ∠CGD(Vertically opposite angles)

Δ GEF ~ Δ GCD

Thus,

GE/CG = EF/CD

or, 5/10 = EF/18

or, EF = 9 cm.
