area of the square =20×20
=400sqcm

area of triangle EDC=1/2×20×8
=80sqcm

area of triangle EAF=1/2×12×10
=60sqcm

area of triangle FBC=1/2×10×20
=100sqcm

area of shaded part =area of square - area of unshaded part
=400-(80+60+100)
=400-240
=160sqcm
